Best Farm Award, what it takes to be the winner?

Sheila Chimphamba of Zodiak Broadcasting Services talks about her award for Best Farm Radio Program. Best Farm Radio Award is in recognition of the role that agriculture broadcasters play in improving the lives of smallholder farmers; realization of the need to uplift and motivate agricultural broadcasters and raising the standards and profile of farm radio programming in Malawi as a key driver in agriculture extension and advisory services. The award is given to a broadcaster who has produced a farm program that is relevant to the specific needs of farmers that meet specific VOICE standards developed by Farm Radio International. Campaign Season Kicks Off in Malawi Ahead of Crucial 16 September Polls

  The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) launched the official campaign period for the 2025 General Election on 14 July 2025 at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe under the theme Promoting Democratic Leadership Through Your Vote . This theme calls for everyone to take up responsibility to help advance the democracy of the nation through voting. The launch is a milestone in Malawi’s electoral calendar that has set the stage for a closely watched democratic process in the country’s political history following months of voter registration, primary elections, and collection of nomination papers.
